Safeguarding
Safeguarding is the action that is taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. Safeguarding is everybody's responsibility.
Safeguarding means:
- protecting children from abuse and maltreatment
- preventing harm to children's health or development
- ensuring children grow up with the provision of safe and effective care
- taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcomes
This runs alongside our work on health and safety and online safety
If you have a concern about any child, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Lead at school – there will always be someone on duty. The leads at school are:
- Matt Cave
- Cat Griffiths
- Sam Gardner
Someone will be there to take your call from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, including during the Easter and Summer holidays when we remain open.
Outside of these times, please ring Somerset Direct on: 0300 123 2224
